Since 2014 The UCOUNT volunteer program aims to facilitate personal growth in youth volunteers while actively involving them in community outreach and fostering their enthusiasm.

UCOUNT SERVICE LEARNING PROGRAM

  • Group Based

UCOUNT provides young people with the chance to serve their community in teams of three or more. These projects unite youth from various school backgrounds who might not usually interact. UCOUNT presents leadership opportunities and encourages the sharing of ideas.

  • Structure

All UCOUNT volunteer initiatives are thoughtfully planned ahead of time by our trained program staff. These projects include activities designed to encourage youth to connect with their peers and leaders, while also highlighting the importance of their volunteer contributions. UCOUNT staff supervise each project to ensure that every volunteer feels safe, welcomed, equipped for their tasks, and valued.

  • Diversity

    Diversity

Our goal is to ensure that teams of UCOUNT youth volunteers represent the diversity of the community they support. We offer projects open to all youth aged 11-18, encouraging participation from individuals of all races, socio-economic backgrounds, genders, abilities, and geographic locations. Our mission is to motivate a diverse group of young people to unite for a cause that goes beyond their personal interests.

  • Flexibility

UCOUNT empowers today's active youth by allowing them to choose when, how often, and which volunteer projects they wish to participate in. We require a commitment of at least 20 service hours annually.
